Well, that only took a year.
In April 2025, Wellington, Vanguard and Blackstone announced to the world they were teaming up to develop new funds blending public and private assets. A few weeks later, Wellington filed to launch their first fund: the WVB All Markets Fund.
You can read my initial take on the fund here. The short story: Wellington is calling the shots and splitting the portfolio roughly 50% public stocks, 20% public bonds and 30% private markets.
Since then, a second fund—WVB Blackstone All Privates Fund—was announced. As the name implies, it’ll invest in Blackstone’s private funds spanning stocks, infrastructure, real estate and bonds. Think of it as covering the full private market landscape.
After a long delay, the two WVB funds have finally launched. (You can find the funds’ landing pages here and here.)
