Vanguard is at it again.
One year after its largest fee cut in history, the firm is cutting costs once more. This time, Vanguard estimates the move will save investors $250 million a year, thanks to fee reductions across 84 share classes spanning 53 funds.
A quarter of a billion dollars is nothing to scoff at. Combined with last year’s cuts, Vanguard has now delivered more than $500 million in annual savings in just two years. That’s real money—and it reinforces a core truth about the firm.
Low fees aren’t just part of Vanguard’s story. They are the story.
