Who Are Vanguard’s Pros?

Vanguard has increasingly turned to outside help, and it’s costing shareholders millions.

Over the last year or so, Vanguard funds and shareholders have paid out a growing amount of money in two unexplained categories, revealed on their statements of operations—almost $20 million for “professional services” and more than $13 million for “other expenses.”
